The Tournament has developed, with a great
sporting atmosphere in mind. Contestants are encouraged mix socially at
Pah Farm.
Because all are using 6kg Mo-Moi
Hi Catch monofilament every competitor has an equal chance to land
the winning fish.
Your opportunity
This Tournament as an opportunity for
you to have a great deal of enjoyment and test your skill against other
fishermen who enjoy the challenge of light tackle on a fair and equitable
basis. And a fantastic opportunity to grow your fishing skill and knowledge.
You will get the opportunity to learn from others about light tackle fishing and you may be amazed at the fish caught on 6 kg. You have a great opportunity to make friends with other fishermen who are both sporting and experienced enough to fish light tackle successfully. You will get to see and hear from your sponsors as they have a right to your audience, for without them you don't have a contest.

We have made every effort to make this
as enjoyable off the water as on, when the fishing
has stopped for the day. The stories start !!
Tournament Special
4-6 kg Rod

Tournament Spirit
- Provide a totally fair and highly enjoyable Kingfish and Snapper Tournament for anglers who wish to compete on an angling skills basis with 6 kg tackle.
- Recognise the skill and effort anglers have made to both enter and compete in the contest.
- Promote the ethics of light tackle fishing.
- Promote appreciation of the snapper and kingfish as sport species.
- Promote camaraderie and friendship.
- Provide an opportunity for anglers to increase their knowledge and understanding of light tackle fishing.
Principles of Tournament
- All anglers MUST check in at venue for validation before fishing. This is a one base contest.
- Only kingfish and snapper to be weighed in.
- Angler must weigh in own fish.
- Weigh in one fish per species per angler per day .
- Everyone fishes with Momoi 6 kg IGFA mono. A 1000m spool is provided FREE for each angler at validation check in. Additional spools available for purchase at tournament.
- No line over 6 kg other than leader in lengths no greater than 15 feet allowed on the vessel during the contest - Spot checks may be carried out.
- Contest fished to IGFA rules. Please familiarise yourself with these BEFORE the contest.
- One Team Per Vessel.

No validation, no weigh in.

at Lodge.
Buffet meal at anglers discretion at Pah
Farm Lodge from 17:30 to 21:00. Cost approx. $20 not included in
entry.

from entry fees plus product from sponsors.
- Heaviest Kingfish and Snapper of each day :- Rods & or Cash prizes for best 3 each species
- Heaviest Kingfish and Snapper of contest :- Cash (up to $2,500+ ea. subject to angler numbers) & Trophy
- Team Average Prize from Jackpot :- Team entry cost is a Team Jackpot contribution of $40 per team member to be paid at initial validation. Entire Team Jackpot goes to the winning team. Calculated on snapper only, divided by number in team over two days fishing.
The use of aircraft is prohibited, the vessel registered is to be fished from only (no Landbase), area restricted to East coast. Spearguns not allowed on board vessels.

Disqualification
If a rule breached a fine of up to $1000.
(towards the final prize pool) may be imposed. Anglers may choose
to pay or to accept disqualification.
Any angler disqualified from the tournament
because of a rule violation will not be eligible for any prizes,
must forfeit any prizes already won and any fees or other contributions
paid.
The organiser has the right to refuse
entry to any person.
Tournament Participation
All contestants participating in
this Tournament are guests of the event and must act accordingly. All decisions
by weigh master and or the organisers are final.
Any contestant issuing a worthless cheque
or a credit card that does not clear or not made out either to the Maverix
Rods, Pah Farm Lodge or cash, will have his or her eligibility to participate
frozen until the matter is resolved.

Only the sponsored Momoi Hi-Catch
6 kg IGFA mono is allowed.
Wire traces are prohibited.
If fish weighed is a record claim
you must have the first 20 feet of line complete with hook, leader, sinkers
as fished, so they can be submitted for approval.
Leader
The use of a leader is not required. If
one is used, it must meet the following specifications:
The length of the leader is the overall
length including any lure, hook arrangement or other device.
The leader must be connected to the line
with a snap, knot, splice, swivel or other device. . There are no regulations
regarding the material or strength of the leader.
The leader shall be limited to 15 feet.
Combined length of leader & double
not to exceed 20 feet.
Double not to exceed 15 feet.
Weigh In
Tournament Clock; Will be the Official
time Piece.
Weigh masters decision is final.
Fish are to be in a clean state at weigh
in
Fish that are damaged or of substandard
quality will be subject to acceptance by weigh master.
Angler Tournament ID to be shown at weigh
in.
Anglers must wear Tournament
clothing for photograph during weigh in, and in the venue.
On a tie, first weighed fish will
win.
All anglers must return to base, and
validate between 16..00hrs - 17.30hrs. Fish or no Fish, validation
at weigh station.
Weigh masters decision will be final ,
late weigh may be considered in extenuating circumstances.
Breifing Night
The meal is a buffet,this meal is each
angler responsibility.

Cut lunch for Friday and Saturday to be
picked up at validation each day. Vegetarians please notify me before the
contest.

as camping facilities are available within the Pah Farm Lodge facility.

Ice
Fresh water Ice for sale at Pah Farm.
Fish Storage
A chiller is available at Pah Farm Lodge
for storage of fish catch. Fish must be in a water tight container and
covered. Large black bag over fish bin is OK. Full name and contestant
number clearly labelled.
Bait
May be purchased from Pah Farm Lodge.
Frozen bait may also stored be in the chiller and must be in
a water tight container and sealed with full name and contestant
number clearly labelled.
Berthage and Anchoring
Use of Pah Farm marina berths is available
to contestants on first come first served basis. Some berths are reserved
for sponsors vessels and will be identified as RESERVED.
Ship to shore transport is your
responsibility.
Rubbish
No rubbish facilities are available at
Kawau Island.
Take your rubbish home.
Alcohol
Pah Farm Lodge is a licensed facility.
No BYO.
The organisers remind you that alcohol
is unlikely to improve your fishing or boating skill.
Speed Limit
Bon Accord Harbour has a 5 knot speed
restriction.
